Mission Statement

Gifts, skills, and experiences our congregations possess to fulfill our mission

What to Expect What to Expect

The congregations in both churches are eager to see each church grow in Spirit and in number. When our congregations are called, we deliver. Recently, over 30 people from both churches made over 300 hygiene packet for Haiti. The Millersburg church has restructured its Session so members of the congregation also participate in the church’s governance. Millersburg has a paid director of Christian education who includes both churches in activities, which are extensive. Millersburg has been on mission trips and has been actively concerned about those in the local community. The Clark church supports, through its women’s group and others, meals and social events open to the community. Hard workers at both churches lend a hand whenever physical labor is needed. Elders teach classes and lead worship. Both churches have active musicministries, with dedicated organists and a paid choir director in Millersburg who leads an excellent choir and encourages congregational singing. Women’s groups are active both locally and at Presbytery level. Both churches give money and work to: Share a Christmas, Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, Food Pantry, World Vision International, Compassion International, Hospice of Holmes County, and open the churches to several community organizations.

Brief Statement of Faith from Book of Confessions

In 1983, the two largest branches of the Presbyterian Church, representing churches that had separated in the American Civil War, reunited. As a mark of their reunion, they adopted A Brief Statement of Faith, contained in The Book of Confessions. The Book of Confessions is the first of two documents comprising our constitution.
